This is, perhaps, the best music video ever made. It gets better and better as it goes. Don’t think, just watch…

This is interesting to me. This guy vocalizes into a microphone, making guitar sounds. Apparently, this is a relatively popular art form. Check it out…

My brother, Stu, put together this video for one of the tracks off his band’s first release (cousin Mark is part of the band, too). If you would so indulge me, put on some headphones and watch the vid. I find the music great to program by and the video kind of trippy. An excellent effort by Stu and Mark, together known as Autostar. If you like the track, you can find it on iTunes by clicking this link…

This is a couple of years old, but brand new to me. Read the comment from Stu before you watch this. A fascinating story…

Friend of the blog Leisa O’Malley turned me on to Fret Killer, a regular YouTube poster who posts a series of wonderful guitar and vocal takes on some old classics. They are perfectly arranged and executed. The only complaint I have is that he has embedding disabled so I can’t include the actual videos on my blog. Usually, I’d just pass them by, but these were worth sharing, so here’s a few links to get you started.
My personal favorite is Take Me Home, Country Roads. I used to perform this at coffee houses back in the day. Great song.
And the one Leisa started me off with is the classic among classics, Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Fret Killer, please enable embedding!!!

I am a big strat fan. For the uninitiated, that’s the Fender Stratocaster. The video below shows Steve Kimock, little known guitarist who can play with the best of them, rocking a strat with passion and precision. Yum…

This is just silly, yet somehow I couldn’t stop watching it. Mostly, this is for those who were not aware that Scottie Pippin was really one of the Beatles…

Mark Vincent is a 15-year-old who auditioned for Australia’s Got Talent. When he started singing, I thought to myself, this has got to be lip-synching. There’s no way that voice came out of this kid. But apparently it did! Listen and enjoy…

I may have a new favorite guitarist. I have long been a fan of Jean “Django” Reinhardt, Eddie Van Halen (did you know that he was born in The Netherlands?), and my brother’s favorite, Frank Zappa. But a new guitarist has now joined the list. Maneli Jamal, welcome sir!
Do yourself a favor and take a listen…
