WWDC Update, Wednesday Evening…

WWDC has been a whirlwind of learning, fun, and opportunity. Just found out our book is the #1 download on Safari (The cross-publisher eBook system started by O’Reilly many years ago). That is some cool news.

Many folks here have read the book. Positive comments all around, gratifying to have helped so many people get a leg up on iPhone dev. Very cool when someone I look up to tells me they learned from our book.

Just went through the process of upgrading my phone to 3.0. Was a little dicey, but ultimately was able to get it done. Now to start working on my super-secret app. More on that as it comes together.

Going to the Launch party tonight. Can’t wait to see Woz and all the famous iPhone devs I follow. Fun!

Steve Jobs at WWDC Next Week?

I usually shy away from rumors, but my excitement about WWDC and about the possibility of The Beatles…I mean, Steve Jobs, coming back next week have pushed me to post this:

Wall Street Journal reports that Steve Jobs will be back this month, as promised. I think he’ll make a surprise appearance at WWDC to announce the new iPhones…
