Maneli Jamal, Guitarist Extraordinaire…
I may have a new favorite guitarist. I have long been a fan of Jean “Django” Reinhardt, Eddie Van Halen (did you know that he was born in The Netherlands?), and my brother’s favorite, Frank Zappa. But a new guitarist has now joined the list. Maneli Jamal, welcome sir!
Do yourself a favor and take a listen…

Very impressive
Have you heard Rodrigo y Gabriela? If not then you might be interested, they are becoming increasingly popular at the moment.
Just checked them out on YouTube. VERY nice. Thanks for the pointer, Toby!

One of my favourites in this genre is Antonio Forcione. I saw him live last year and his music is brilliant.

Oh, nice one, Mike. Just listened via YouTube. Very passionate guitarist…

No worries
Glad you enjoyed, I think your man here is probably a bit more technical genius, however both are pretty good for a slightly different feel on fairly technical acoustic stuff. BTW if you like them as a whole then be sure to check out the Stairway to Heaven cover, its quite creative.
Coincidentally, that’s the first vid I checked out. Quite fun!
Seems like a big wave of Wave invites just came from Google. I expect the need is filled, at least for the moment. Very kind of you, Toby!

It seems that way indeed… I’ll hold on to them for a while they may come in handy sometime. If you think of anyone though, let me know(you obviously have my email address), most of the people I know would appreciate it at release but wouldn’t be interested in looking at it with such a small user base. What do you think of it as a whole? It seems like a interesting and quite cool communication environment, will probably be cooler when it has a wider user base… But the scroll bars?!?!?! @$%&
The jury is still out on Google Wave. I think it is very cool and my guess is, a ton of people will dive in and play. I think Wave would be extremely useful if I had a project with a number of folks on it that required lots of communication over the net. Right now, I tend to have lots of projects with just a few people on each, so Wave doesn’t really help as much there. But I love the idea and will continue looking for a fit…

This is how I feel it would be best used. Though the other day I was chatting to a friend on it, pretty much used it like an instant messenger, and in allot of ways it was a better instant messenger than anything else I’ve tried. I think it might also be pretty good if there was a group of people with similar interest/hobbies could use it like a small scale forum, stuff tends to get lost in bigger forums with not enough people on them.
I didn’t think to mention before, if you are into looking at technical music for skill rather than a specific sound every once in a while then you should have a look at this guy play bass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js93qxDlIzg
