Swine Flu Epidemic Map…

Posted by Dave Mark on Apr 27, 2009 in News, medical |

Interesting. A Google map showing reported cases of Swine Flu. I’ve seen a remarkable range of opinions on the potential for a pandemic. At least this map is factual, as opposed to conjecture. From what I’ve read, washing your hands is more effective than wearing a mask, as the virus is spread by touch, as opposed to by breathing it in. Anyone have any hard facts to back that up or prove it false?

and while we’re on the subject, I am bummed at the slagging that the media is giving Twitter. I think it’s poor judgment to believe that Twitter users would be dense enough to base their health management on a single source, especially when it’s this big a threat.
