If David Lynch Directed Dirty Dancing…
From Matt Drance (via Twitter): There’s just something brilliant about this mashup of scenes cut from Dirty Dancing and music, titles, and sound effects. I love the way something poignant in the original is turned into something disturbing, just by adding a dash of the right audio. Somehow, this just screams David Lynch.
Most folks know David Lynch as the Writer/Director/Producer of the classic TV series, Twin Peaks. But to me, his best, most disturbing work is the movie Eraserhead. I mean, just consider this line from the IMDB plot summary:
“Henry Spencer tries to survive his industrial environment, his angry girlfriend, and the unbearable screams of his newly born mutant child.”
